Both men worked at the warehouse.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;A witness, Michael Tricksey, stated that he heard a loud argument and noticed Jacoby Hopson get off his forklift, walk over to Anderson Todd, and invite him to come to an area of the warehouse that didn&#8217;t have cameras so that they could fight,&#8217; the affidavit reads, the Clarion Ledger reported.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Witness Tricksey stated that Anderson Todd refused to fight Jacoby Hopson, and that&#8217;s when Hopson pulled Todd&#8217;s skull cap over his face, covering his eyes.&#8217;\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Tricksey said he saw Todd start stabbing Hopson and tried to intervene. Hopson allegedly walked away from the altercation and collapsed to the ground.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Todd walked away from the area and waited in the break room until police came, according to the affidavit. He was later identified from a suspect line-up and is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Jarcoby Hopson, 39, died on Thursday after his coworker reportedly stabbed him to death during a fight\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Anderson Todd, 55, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Hopson coached his star athlete son Jarcoby Hopson Jr., who just signed on to the Ole Miss team\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>Hopson was declared dead just before 9:20 am on Thursday morning.\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Although it is unconfirmed by police what sparked the altercation, one of Hopson&#8217;s relatives told WREG that the fight was about football.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Hopson was the assistant football coach at Mississippi&#8217;s\u00a0Lake Cormorant High School, where one of his sons is a star player.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Jarcoby Hopson Jr., who recently committed to the University of Mississippi as a linebacker, wrote on X: &#8216;I thank you for everything you did for me pops you was my role model.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;[You] made sure I was always good and knew the game you was there for me forever i know u going to stay with me why I&#8217;m on my journey love you dad.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Jarcoby Jr. will be joining his older brother, junior wide receiver Jarnorris, on the Ole Miss team.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b><u>Hopson&#8217;s older son\u00a0Jarnorris is also a talented football player\u00a0<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p><u>Hopson was described as a hard-working father who adored his children\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Hopson was highly regarded in the football community, with people pouring out prayers and fond memories of him on social media.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Above being a coach, Hopson was his sons&#8217; number one fan and supporter.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>One of Hopson&#8217;s friends wrote to Jarcoby Jr. on X: &#8216;He bragged on you guys all night long. He was so proud that yall were together.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>&#8216;He has big plans for yall. We discussed it all. I&#8217;m going to miss asking you were you dad at.&#8217;<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>James Williams, a former NFL player and\u00a0Associate Head Coach of\u00a0Alabama State University football team, said: &#8216;My heart goes out to you and your family. We traveled together for years and talked about so much but most of it was how much he loved you guys.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><u><strong>After his father died, Jarcoby Jr. posted a tribute to Hopson on X<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<p><b>The incident occurred at a Memphis Kroger warehouse, where the two men worked\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>&#8216;He was there for everything. I love you and your family. God is always with you.&#8217;<\/b><\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Krogers wrote: &#8216;We are deeply saddened by the loss of an associate and tragic incident that occurred at the Memphis distribution center.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We have been in contact with the associate&#8217;s family and offer our condolences to all impacted by this tragic loss.
