The overall mission of the Choir is to:
• maintain and develop a male choir representing the communities of Cape Town and their musical traditions through performances and choral training workshops,
• spread the benefits and joys of choral singing to a range of communities in the Western Cape and further afield,
• instill the idea of a life of singing in young people, particularly in the Western Cape, and
• continue to grow the Cape Town Male Voice Choir, with increasing recruitment from all population groups, in fulfillment of our local and outreach aims.
We believe that in our Choir we bring people of different backgrounds together in a unique and remarkable way, and that through music we can help heal divisions created by our past.
